Mount Koya is a designated historic site by Hiroshima Prefecture. The cherry blossoms in spring and the autumn foliage are spectacular, making it a popular photo spot. Nearby is Ryugeji Temple, said to have been founded by Kobo Daishi during the Heian period, and many cultural assets related to the temple remain, including the Daishi Hall, Anrakuin Temple, and the barrier stone. Explore the heartwarming scenery and let your thoughts wander back to the distant past.
