\The annual end-of-year Hokkaido Roadside Station Fair is getting even more powerful/


 


The annual end-of-year event, the Hokkaido Roadside Station Fair, which has been held since the Sera Roadside Station opened, has been enhanced with the participation of roadside stations from Tohoku!


Seafood, mountain produce, sweet treats, and a variety of warming products perfect for this time of year... The best products grown in the rich natural environment will be gathered at Roadside Station Sera. This year too, we will be offering a wide variety of products that can only be found at a Roadside Station Fair.

Hokkaido soup curry ramen


Soup curry is a specialty that originated in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and originated from "medicinal curry served in coffee shops." It has now become established as Hokkaido's soul food.


This delicious Hokkaido soup is full of spices and is topped with chunks of classic deep-fried vegetables.


This soup curry has now become ramen.

Received the Prime Minister's Award at the 28th National Confectionery Exposition in Hokkaido.


The name represents the lowest temperature in Japan , -41 °C, and the sliced almonds represent the northern land, the white chocolate represents white snow and ice, and the sparkle of diamond dust is represented by the softened chocolate.


This is a sweet and fragrant Asahikawa specialty confection inspired by the frigid earth.

The most popular item at this fair! Sweet, fresh, and plump! Hokkaido scallops have large adductor muscles and bouncy, springy flesh. They're delicious as sashimi, fried, in stews, or in gratins.


 


Kamishihoro Fresh Milk 200ml - "Roadside Station " Kamishihoro

This milk is made using fresh raw milk from Kamishihoro Town, and is characterized by its smooth, easy-to-drink, fresh taste while still retaining the natural flavor of the raw milk.


 


Frozen Salmon Slices - Hokkaido "Roadside Station" Utoro Shirietoku -


The Shiretoko salmon is seasoned with a unique blend of locally grown vegetables and then aged at ice temperature to bring out the flavor.


This smoked salmon is smoked using thinned Ezo mountain cherry wood.


It pairs well with wine and cheese and can also be enjoyed as an hors d'oeuvre.

Aomori is the number one apple-producing region in Japan. Seasonal apples with the perfect combination of sweetness, sourness, and texture arrive from Tsuruta Town. How about trying this forbidden fruit that Tsugaru is proud of?

When it comes to Akita's most representative pickles, the first one that comes to mind is "Iburi-gakko."


Radishes from Akita Prefecture are roasted over oak or cherry wood to impart a unique, fragrant wood aroma, and then each radish is carefully pickled in rice bran using the traditional pickling method, resulting in a nostalgic taste of home.


 


Seasoned Tamakon - Yamagata Prefecture "Roadside Station" Iide -


Boasting a round shape and simple flavor, tama konnyaku is affectionately known as "tama kon" in Yamagata. It is made with a base of Honjozo Koikuchi soy sauce, which is characterized by its mellow taste and aroma, and is finished with a rich flavor by adding carefully extracted bonito and kelp stock.

Sera Roadside Station

On December 21st , Sera Roadside Station in Kawajiri, Sera Town will be holding a public viewing ( PV ) of the National High School Ekiden, which will be held in Kyoto City.


 


The men's team finished in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 37 seconds, marking their 55th appearance in 22 consecutive years, while the women's team finished in 1 hour, 11 minutes and 17 seconds, marking their 20th appearance in 20 consecutive years at the national championships.


This will be the 17th consecutive year that both men and women have participated.


The event will be broadcast live on a large screen at the Sera Roadside Station. Send your warm cheers to Miyako-oji!
